When Too Much Heat is Thrown

“When too much heat is thrown” is an excerpt of a poem I wrote describing the aftermath of strangled self-expression and communication breakdown.

This series moves the viewer across a disorienting landscape of skin—self-portraiture through hand gestures, and magnified swatches of these larger, figurative paintings. Logic and object disappear, giving way to an intuitive framework for jumping out of the body into a mapless mind.
